My name is Daniel Taylor and I’m a new course developer and designer at Learning Nexus. I studied a degree in graphic design at the Cheltenham College of Art and Design, where I studied interactive media and online commerce, and I gained a 1st Class BA hons degree on completion. I was delighted when I was accepted onto the Learning Nexus team and whilst here I have been greatly encouraged, supported and praised by the management here at Learning Nexus. My creative manager has shown great enthusiasm and commitment to outlining the design standards and supporting us all as creatives. While designing at Learning Nexus I have been using the new course development tool, Course Builder, which has been really awesome to use and it’s been a rewarding process working with the program developers, in making the tool easy to use and ensuring it contains all the functions a designer will need to produce top results, it feels great to be shaping and designing the very tool we’re using to produce courses.
I feel really at home here, and everybody is very kind and responsive internally and externally to clients. Myself and everybody else work hard to deliver to the client a product they are really proud to use within their company or organisation. I really feel e-learning is a very interesting field to be involved in as a designer and it’s exciting to know so many will be using our products to learn new subjects. This gives me a real sense of purpose and responsibility to create great products for our clients and it’s very exciting to be involved in the E-learning revolution here at Learning Nexus!
Hello, my name is Vicky Mountjoy and I am a new course developer at Learning Nexus. I joined in July this year and absolutely love it. It was quite crazy to begin with as I was learning on the job but I think that is probably the best way to learn. I started working on the course developer software on my first day and was amazed at how well put together the programming was. It is really straight forward to use and to preview each learning screen as you design it. The whole team at Learning Nexus were coming up with ideas to make it even better and the developers were putting them into action. It is a really good tool to use and has moved on in leaps and bounds since I first joined.
The team here are so helpful and are always willing to lend a hand or offer advice. This has made me feel at home and at ease with my job role. There is always a ‘thanks for your work’ at the end of each week and ‘well done’ and ‘thank you’ emails going round when a course has been sold or completed.
I am looking forward to seeing some of my courses in action and I hope a lot of people learn from them. Learning Nexus offer high quality courses and I hope my design skills carry this on for a long time to come.
