Accessible for Everyone

Designing digital learning that doesn’t leave anyone behind

At Learning Nexus, we believe that great learning should be for everyone – no exceptions! That’s why accessibility isn’t an afterthought here, it’s built into the heart of every course we create.

Whether it’s a bespoke module or one from our content catalogue, we apply a core set of accessibility rules across every project. No matter the authoring tool, platform, or subject, you can trust that the learning experience is inclusive, considered, and learner-first.

What you can always expect from our courses:

    WCAG AA compliance

Every course we build meets at least WCAG 2.1 AA standards – the globally recognised benchmark for digital accessibility. This means our content is usable by people with a wide range of disabilities, including blindness, low vision, hearing loss, and cognitive impairments.

    Reading age of 11 years

Clear doesn’t mean basic, it means better for everyone. We aim for a reading age of 11 years across our catalogue, using everyday language and cutting the jargon so learners can focus on what matters.

    Subtitles, always

Where there’s audio, there are subtitles, whether that’s a narrated screen in Storyline or a short video in Rise. No surprises, just clear, consistent support for your learners.

    Screen reader friendly

From navigation to narration, our courses are designed and tested for screen reader compatibility. We carefully structure content to avoid unnecessary barriers and make sure every learner gets the full experience.

    Descriptive alt text

All visual elements include meaningful alt text so that users accessing via assistive tech receive the same information as everyone else — no gaps, no guesswork.

    Mobile ready

Whether your learners are on a laptop, tablet, or phone, our courses are fully responsive and easy to access from any device.

    Going beyond the basics

We’re proud to say that our team doesn’t just follow best practice, we actively level up our knowledge to push accessibility further.

Particularly in Articulate Storyline, we’ve worked hard to master how to write and build courses that are inclusive by design. Every interaction is considered. If an activity isn’t accessible (like a drag-and-drop) we provide a fully accessible alternative (e.g. multiple choice). That way, nobody is excluded from learning.

Accessibility by design, not by chance

Our goal is simple: Make learning easy to access, easy to complete, and easy to remember, for everyone!

We’re committed to breaking down barriers and building content that works for all learners. Because inclusive learning isn’t just better learning, it’s the right thing to do.
